This is a classic from way back. This extremely well told story, (that has been made into a movie), depicts the comfort and challenges that arise when a lonely little boy finds a red balloon. A beautiful story to be told to a younger audience and a great book for discussion with upper primary children. The simple yet captivating pictures capture the true essence of the characters, including the balloon which takes on it's own unique set of characteristics.
