About the Author

LaRae Schmitt has entertained children since she was a child herself. As a young adult, she would amuse children of family/friends, through creative storytelling and art geared towards their interest and abilities.

Now, as an older adult, LaRae has similar opportunities of finding fun ways to delight children - mainly for her two young nieces. These burgeoning preschoolers love art, music, games and reading books - especially with fun sounds and colorful pictures. Their heads riveted when they first heard the easy-to-follow story of The Garbage Truck Man! - followed by an attempt to repeat the ditty they had just heard. This thrill, along with family encouragement, have spurred LaRae to share her creations with you and yours.
