Robert F. Smallwood is an industry-leading author, keynote speaker, consultant, and educator. This is his fifth book on IG topics and he is the world's leading IG author and trainer. Smallwood is author of the pioneering text "Information Governance: Concepts, Strategies, and Best Practices" (Wiley, 2014), which is being used to lead IG programs and major corporations worldwide and to teach IG to graduate students at Oxford, San Jose State, and other major universities. He is a founding partner of IMERGE Consulting and heads up the Institute for Information Governance. In addition to teaching IG courses, Robert consults with Fortune 500 companies and governments. Some of his past research and consulting clients include the World Bank, Sidley Austin LLP, Kirkland & Ellis, Oracle, Tyson Foods, Verizon, Apple, Pacific Gas & Electric, Magna International, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Mr. Smallwood has published more than 100 articles, written nine books and given more than 50 conference presentations.
