She received a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University and is the recipient of the University's Rulewater Prize. Before turning to writing full-time, she held senior leadership positions in college public relations and was an official College spokesperson at several colleges. She resides in shoreline Connecticut and Provincetown with her wife and their fur babies.
