Author Alison Rose is a graduate of NYU Steinhardt's Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions and holds a M.A. in Dance Education and a BFA in Dance from California State University Long Beach. In New York City, Alison danced with Randy James Dance Works where she toured both nationally and internationally and fulfilled her dream to become a professional modern dancer. She currently teaches elementary dance for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Alison believes that dance is a natural form of human expression and that dance is for everyone! Illustrator Kathleen Vaslett-Carr has a BFA from Northern Arizona University. She has been working as an artist in the animation industry for more than 30 years storyboarding for shows such as Angelina Ballerina, My Little Pony, Clifford The Big Red Dog, and Dora The Explorer. Dance has always been an important part of her life using the power of movement through her illustrations.
