Helen Reddy was born in Melbourne. In addition to performing, Helen
is also very active in community affairs and social issues and
served for three years as Commissioner of Parks and Recreation for
the State of California, USA. She was the first Western female
performer invited to sing in Communist China. A huge fan of English
playwright and composer Willy Russell, Helen has become the
foremost interpreter of his work, appearing both on Broadway and in
London's West End in the hit musical 'Blood Brothers' and four
productions of Russell's one-woman play 'Shirley Valentine'. Helen
Reddy is a clinical hypnotherapist and spiritualist. She lives in
Sydney.
