MOUSEHUNT: You'll delight in this hit comedy that critics call "a roaring good time for kids and adults." Down-on-their luck brothers Lars and Ernie Smuntz (Nathan lane and Lee Evans) don't think much of the crumbling old mansion they inherit... until they discover that their dilapidated estate is actually worth millions. But before they can cash in, they've got to rid the house of its single, stubborn occupant: a tiny and tenacious mouse. What might seem like child's play becomes an epic battle of hysterical proportions.
PAULIE: When you're the world's funniest, fast-talking parrot, you can find yourself in a world of trouble - real fast - as Paulie learns in this hilarious adventure classic the whole family will treasure. When a little bird with a big personality sets out to find the loving girl who raised him, he discovers his way with words has a way of landing him in big trouble. But as fast as he can talk himself into a fix, he finds his gift of gob, a heart full of hope, and an odd menagerie of human friends can help him realise his most important dream - to be home at lost!
THE INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD: The Indian in the Cupboard is the touching tale of nine-year old Omri who magically brings his three-inch toy Indian little Bear to life. Together, they embark on an amazing adventure filled with wonder and excitement. Terrific family entertainment from Melissa Mathison and director Frank Oz.
IMAGINE THAT: What if your daughter's imagination was the secret to your success? When a highly competitive money mogul (Eddie Murphy) finds his financial kingdom slipping, he turns to his 7-year-old daughter (Yara Shohidi) and her fantasy world of imaginary princesses for help. Embarking on a whirlwind journey of comic proportions, father and daughter are about to discover that sometimes all you need is a little imagination - and a lot of love.
A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS: Dear Viewer. If you enjoy movies filled with singing rabbits, exploding spaceships, or cheerleaders, you are holding the wrong DVD entirely. This movie is extremely alarming, an expression which here means "a thrilling misadventure involving three ingenious orphans and a villainous actor named Count Olaf (Carrey) who wants their enormous fortune." It includes a suspicious fire, delicious pasta, Jim Carrey, poorly behaved leeches, an incredibly deadly viper, Meryl Streep, and the voice of an imposter named Jude Law. The only things that could make such a spectacle more upsetting are special features, such as commentary by me or outtakes involving nervous laughter. I am bound to continue my research into the lives of the Baudelaire orphans, but you are free to seek lighter fare, like bleu cheese fondue.
