Made-for-TV mystery starring Robert Preston and Lynn Redgrave. A distinguished playwright (Preston) is distraught by the apparent suicide of his fiancee (Redgrave), a famous film actress, after her Broadway debut in one of his productions. One year on, he calls together the cast and crew from that fateful opening night, on the pretext of auditioning for his new play. The truth is that he believes that his fiancee was murdered, and that the killer is someone from the Broadway production of the previous year. Now he wants to unmask the killer at the rehearsal.
