About the Author

LAURA FELLEMAN FATTAL, an arts administrator, educator, and historian, is currently the Director of the New Jersey School of the Arts. She has curated several exhibitions, taught studio arts at the college level, written on arts in education, and served in many executive positions in arts policymaking. CAROL SALUS is Associate Professor of Art History at Kent State University, where she has taught 20th-century American and European courses.
