About the Author

Author Kenneth French is the head librarian of the New Jersey Room of the Jersey City Public Library, from whose archives all of the pictures in this collection have been gathered. He is a Jersey City native who has assisted with efforts to save and restore two city buildings, the Loew's Jersey Theater and the eighteenth-century "Apple Tree House." Mr. French is pleased to present this second volume on Jersey City in the Images of America series.
