About the Author

LYNDA G. ADAMSON, Ph.D., is professor of English and chair of the English Department at Prince Georges Community College in Largo, MD, near Washington, DC. She has received her college's Faculty Senate Excellence Award for Teaching and is a member of the International Research Society for Childrens Literature. She is the author of several articles and books, including A Reference Guide to Historical Fiction for Children and Young Adults
